Attendance at the socialization sessions exceeded 500 collaborators from all areas of the national government who are preparing to draft the preliminary bill.
The General Directorate of Budget concluded a series of meetings with institutions of the national government to provide them with input and knowledge for the preparation of their preliminary drafts with a view to the formulation of the 2023 General State Budget. Through the Directorate of Quality and Evaluation of Budget Management, 10 working sessions were carried out with the participation of 560 employees from 238 implementing units.
Based on these meetings held by the DigepresIt is expected that the implementing units will complete their institutional preliminary projects by August 31, and then prepare the draft General State Budget Law, to be submitted on October 1, in compliance with the Constitution.
These initiatives are part of Digepres's ongoing efforts to improve processes related to all stages of the budget cycle. Furthermore, they aim to ensure that implementing units have up-to-date information for the budget formulation stage and are familiar with the guidelines and procedures for registering their institutional budget proposals.
Throughout the cycle, a large team of technicians from Digepres, who were leading the activity, provided the necessary assistance and support to ensure that each public entity efficiently prepared its preliminary draft under the multi-year modality that allows for greater planning and control.
Likewise, basic criteria were explained that each executing unit must observe when preparing the Budget, including general and specific guidelines for the 2023 formulation, multi-year formulation guidelines for income and expenses for the 2023-2026 fiscal year, and the multi-year formulation of financial and physical registration for 2023.
Similarly, aspects related to the Financial Management Information System (SIGEF)Functional Classifier, resource projections, physical goals, programmatic categories and other relevant topics within the budget exercise.

This series of ten meetings brought together representatives from institutions such as the General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (DIGEIG)National Emergency and Security System 9-1-1, State Land Titling Technical Unit, Dignified Community, Single System of Beneficiaries (SIUBEN)General Directorate of Strategic and Special Projects (PROPEEP)Social Cabinet, Supérate, Directorate of Strategy and Government Communication (DIECOM)Emergency Operations Center (COE)National Council for the Elderly (CONAPE)among other state institutions. The activity took place in the Juan Bosch Hall of the General Directorate of Budget.
The workshop included induction sessions conducted through a virtual platform and a question and answer section.
