DIGEIG swears in the Governmental Integrity and Regulatory Compliance Commission of DIGEPRES to strengthen institutional ethics and transparency

This commission is among the more than one hundred sworn in by DIGEIG who assume the commitment to continue promoting a culture of ethics and integrity from within the Government and the exercise of public service.

The General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (DIGEIG) The Governmental Integrity and Regulatory Compliance Commission was sworn in. (CIGCN) from the General Directorate of Budget (DIGEPRES), as part of the actions aimed at strengthening the culture of integrity, ethics, transparency, regulatory compliance and prevention of institutional corruption.

The event was held in the Aula Magna of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), headed by Dr. Milagros Ortiz Bosch, Director General of Ethics and Governmental Integrity and advisor to the Executive Branch on Ethics, Transparency and Anti-Corruption; Eva Ramírez, Director of the Office of Free Access to Public Information UASD Representing the rector, Jorge Asjana; Francisco Álvarez, general coordinator of Citizen Participation; Berenice Barinas, Executive Director of Ethics and Governmental Integrity and Carlos Rosado, director of Ethics and Governmental Integrity.

The (CIGCN) The Director General of Budget was accompanied by his highest authority, José Rijo Presbot, Vice Minister of Budget and Accounting and Director General of Budget.

During the formal ceremony, Carlos Bereguete Cabrera, Soribel Medina, Wendy Diloné, Ana Ely Comas and Lidia Castillo were sworn in as representatives of occupational groups; the technical staff consists of Julio Gómez, Carlos Pichardo, Sheila Tavarez and Francisco Méndez.

The CIGCN of DIGEPRESIt was formed through an internal election process overseen by the General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (DIGEIG)In compliance with the provisions established for the implementation of the public integrity model, this commission will be responsible for developing actions to promote the Institutional Integrity Code, awareness-raising activities, and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening ethical values in budget management.

Strengthening the Culture of Integrity

The members of the (CIGCN) The General Directorate of Budget is among the more than 100 commissions that assumed the commitment at the swearing-in ceremony for a new term of management organized by the General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (DIGEIG), reaffirming with this act the commitment of the Dominican government to implement a culture of integrity, transparency and compliance, honoring Decree No. 791-21 which declares the creation of these Integrity Commissions in all public institutions to be of high national priority.
