The activity sought to promote an innovation approach focused primarily on process improvement, productivity, and teamwork.
The General Directorate of Budget (DIGEPRES) Innovation Week was a success DIGEPRES, with the awarding of the prize to the winners of the Innovation Week competition with the proposal “Development of a Digital Module for the Management of Supplementary Budget Requests” as part of the commemorative actions within the framework of World Creativity and Innovation Day, which is celebrated every April 21.
The activity also aimed to promote creativity and continuous improvement across various institutional areas to further enhance the quality of services offered by the Budget Office to citizens, both internally and externally. The program, spearheaded by the Planning and Development Department, took place from April 21 to 25, with presentations from experts in fields such as innovation, technology, sales, and communication.

The event was led by Iván Ramírez, Deputy Director of Budget, and the organizing team made up of Patricia Castillo, in charge of the Planning and Development Department; Awilda Polanco, in charge of the Institutional Development Division; Karla Ureña, in charge of the Formulation, Monitoring and Evaluation of Plans, Programs and Projects Division; Amanda Hilario, technical-administrative and the analysts Cheila Chivilli, Jesús Payano, Tairy Ramírez, Abraham de León, Paola Sido, Mariel Matos, Edwin Terrero, Lorenna Dominguez, Patria Crousset, Bryan Thompson and Ramfis Moreno.
Awilda Polanco, head of the Institutional Development Division, expressed her gratitude to the institution's staff members who participated in the activity for being part of what she considered an enriching experience. For her part, Patricia Castillo, head of the Planning and Development Department, highlighted that the event DIGEPRES continues to demonstrate its commitment to institutional improvement. “Innovating beyond an idea is everyone’s responsibility”Castillo indicated and thanked the General Directorate of Budget for its constant support in the development of the event.
Another highlight of DIGEPRES Innovation Week was the live broadcast of the podcast "Let's Talk About Budgeting," which focused on best practices and innovation in the public and private sectors, featuring Armando José Manzueta Peña, Vice Minister of Innovation and Technology at the Ministry of Public Administration. Three days dedicated to promoting innovation and digital transformation through knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship, present at DIGEPRES Innovation Week

As part of the Innovation Week competition, 10 proposals were received for the Internal Portal Update “Management"of the General Directorate of Budget (DIGEPRES), DIGEPRES Virtual Classroom, CHATBOT, Flexible Working Hours, Individual Performance Evaluation and Monitoring System (SESDI), Improvement in the management and control of attendance at events, DIGEPRES Innovation Project: Towards the Public Administration of the Future, Improvement in the Reception of Goods and Supplies, Reduction of the response time of the OAI requests, Development of a digital module for managing requests for supplementary budget, the latter being the winner prepared by Ámbar Peralta, Patricia Perdomo, Fausto Espaillat, Wendy Mercedes and Lorenda Nuvis Díaz.
Through these activities, Presupuesto reaffirms its commitment to a culture of constant innovation, challenging the creative spirit of the participants and guiding them toward excellence. The event culminated with the presentation of certificates to the winners of the three selected proposals, which highlighted the talent, creativity, and excellence in the creation and presentation of the participants' projects.
