El Gobierno dominicano y el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo presentar\u00e1n el caso de \u00e9xito de RD en el uso de la nueva herramienta de Inteligencia Artificial en materia presupuestaria <\/em>en Foro Anual de Econom\u00eda Sostenible en abril de 2026 en Chile<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The General Directorate of Budget (DIGEPRES) <\/a>junto al Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD<\/a>) y el Ministerio de Hacienda y Econom\u00eda sostuvieron un encuentro para presentar el proyecto de etiquetado del gasto p\u00fablico alineado con los objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) mediante inteligencia artificial. Iniciativa que busca fortalecer y contribuir al cumplimiento de la Agenda ODS 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el encuentro destacaron el trabajo y liderazgo de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana en la b\u00fasqueda de acciones, herramientas e implementaci\u00f3n a favor del cumplimiento de dicha agenda. Explicaron, adem\u00e1s, que el proyecto de etiquetado del gasto p\u00fablico utiliza una plataforma tecnol\u00f3gica basada en inteligencia artificial para mejorar el seguimiento y an\u00e1lisis del gasto p\u00fablico  e inversiones del Estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La actividad estuvo encabezada por el director general de Presupuesto, Jos\u00e9 Rijo Presbot, junto a un equipo t\u00e9cnico de DIGEPRES<\/a>, entre ellos Iv\u00e1n Ram\u00edrez, subdirector de Budget<\/a>; Odilys Hidalgo, directora de Servicios Presupuestarios; Rafael Jovine, director de Estudios Econ\u00f3micos; Ana Miguelina Terrero, encargada de Evaluaci\u00f3n del Desempe\u00f1o Presupuestario; Karla Ure\u00f1a, encargada de Planificaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo; Juan Portalat\u00edn, encargado de Gesti\u00f3n Financiera de Formulaci\u00f3n y Ejecuci\u00f3n; Mar\u00eda V\u00edctoria Ort\u00edz, encargada de Normas y Metodolog\u00edas; Alexander Hilario encargado de Tecnolog\u00edas de la Informaci\u00f3n y Lowenski Matos, encargado de la Divisi\u00f3n Desarrollo e Implementaci\u00f3n de Sistemas TIC. tambi\u00e9n participaron representantes del Ministerio de Hacienda y Econom\u00eda y del Sistema de Naciones Unidas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rijo Presbot agradeci\u00f3 la participaci\u00f3n de los presentes mientras valor\u00f3 el apoyo que las entidades participantes han brindado para consolidar iniciativas orientadas al fortalecimiento de los procesos y la gesti\u00f3n p\u00fablica. \u201cEste respaldo ha permitido avanzar en la implementaci\u00f3n de acciones que promueven una gesti\u00f3n m\u00e1s eficiente y sostenible\u201d, <\/em>apunt\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Del Ministerio de Hacienda y Econom\u00eda, Nelson Ch\u00e1vez, director General de Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico y Social en representaci\u00f3n de Mart\u00edn Franco, viceministro de Planificaci\u00f3n e Inversi\u00f3n P\u00fablica agradeci\u00f3 al PNUD<\/a> por promover herramientas que permitan al pa\u00eds mejorar el desarrollo sostenible e institucionalidad. Agreg\u00f3 Chavez, que los esfuerzos se enmarcan en una visi\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplia de desarrollo y planificaci\u00f3n a largo plazo, alineado con los grandes objetivos nacionales y el trabajo articulado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inteligencia Artificial para desarrollo de Agenda ODS 2030<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julia S\u00e1nchez, coordinadora residente del Sistema de las Naciones Unidas en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, explic\u00f3 que el proceso que viene desarrollando junto al gobierno e instituciones privadas busca avanzar a las metas pendientes frente al tema. Asimismo, inform\u00f3 que el trabajo desarrollado hasta el momento en materia presupuestaria y planificaci\u00f3n bajo la inteligencia artificial ser\u00e1 presentado por el Gobierno dominicano y PNUD<\/a> en el Foro Anual de Econom\u00eda Sostenible en el mes de abril de 2026 en Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEsta es una oportunidad para mostrar como la planificaci\u00f3n y la ejecuci\u00f3n del presupuesto pueden aportar al desarrollo del pa\u00eds\u201d,<\/em> dijo S\u00e1nchez en su intervenci\u00f3n. The Dominican government and the United Nations Development Programme will present the Dominican Republic's success story in using a new Artificial Intelligence tool for budgeting at the Annual Sustainable Economy Forum in April 2026 in Chile. The General Directorate of Budget (DIGEPRES), along with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Finance and Economy, held a meeting to present the project for labeling public spending aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using artificial intelligence. This initiative seeks to strengthen and contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. During the meeting, they highlighted the Dominican Republic's work and leadership in seeking actions, tools, and implementation to support the fulfillment of this agenda. They also explained that the public spending labeling project uses a technological platform based on artificial intelligence to improve the monitoring and analysis of public spending and government investments.
