\t\t\t\tIt obtained fifth place in the Index of Use of Information and Communication Technologies and Implementation of Electronic Government in the Dominican State, (iTICge) 2024, in the category \u201cBest performance of institutions that provide services to the Government\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The General Directorate of Budget<\/a> (DIGEPRES)<\/a> It obtained fifth place in the Index of Use of Information and Communication Technologies and Implementation of Electronic Government in the Dominican State, (iTICge) 2024, moving from position 17 to position 5 with an evaluation of 80.36 in the category "Best performance of institutions that provide services to the Government"; an annual award given by the Government Office of Information and Communication Technologies (OGTIC)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This evaluation by the ICT Institute of the Dominican Republic (iTicge), in which the Budget was assessed, is based on four essential pillars: Digital Government, the services it offers, internal efficiency, and transparency in public institutions. This systematic measurement tool highlights the efforts made and underway regarding the implementation of ICT solutions, e-Government, and the improvement of citizen and government services.<\/p>\n

\"OGTIC<\/div>\n

The award was received by Mr. Iv\u00e1n Ram\u00edrez, deputy director of DIGEPRES<\/a> and Karla Ure\u00f1a, head of the entity's Planning and Development Department. With this recognition, the Budget Office reaffirms its commitment to efficiency, continuous improvement, and innovation.<\/p>\n

The Budget Office shared this category with the General Directorate of Government Accounting, the Ministry of Finance, the General Directorate of Public Procurement, and the Specialized Airport and Civil Aviation Security Corps. With this recognition, the Government Office of Information and Communication Technology (OGTIC)<\/a> It acknowledges the progress and contributions of the Budget in digital transformation and services.<\/p>\n

The ICT Use and Electronic Government Implementation Index in the Dominican Government (iTicge) was created with the objective of systematically evaluating the efforts made and in progress, concerning the implementation of ICT and e-Government solutions, focused mainly on citizen services, internal efficiency and transparency in the public institutions of the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

It is recalled that the General Directorate of Budget (DIGEPRES)<\/a> The Dominican Republic has been recognized in this administration with first place in the category "Best GovTech Solution for Transparency and Accountability" at the Latam Digital 2025 awards.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, it ranks as the third most transparent country in the region according to the International Budget Partnership's (IBP) Open Budget Survey. This is the third highest rating in the Americas and ninth in the world.<\/p>\n

Obtuvo el quinto lugar del \u00cdndice de Uso de las Tecnolog\u00edas de la Informaci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n e Implementaci\u00f3n de Gobierno Electr\u00f3nico en el Estado dominicano, (iTICge) 2024, en el rengl\u00f3n \u201cMejor desempe\u00f1o de instituciones que prestan servicios al Gobierno\u201d La Direcci\u00f3n General de Presupuesto (DIGEPRES) obtuvo el quinto lugar del \u00cdndice de Uso de las Tecnolog\u00edas de la Informaci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n e Implementaci\u00f3n de Gobierno Electr\u00f3nico en el Estado dominicano, (iTICge) 2024, pasando de la posici\u00f3n 17 al puesto 5 con una evaluaci\u00f3n de 80.36 en el rengl\u00f3n \u201cMejor desempe\u00f1o de instituciones que prestan servicios al Gobierno\u201d; galard\u00f3n anual que entrega la Oficina Gubernamental de Tecnolog\u00edas de la Informaci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n (OGTIC). Esta evaluaci\u00f3n de la iTicge, en la que el Presupuesto result\u00f3 valorada, se sustenta en cuatro pilares esenciales: Gobierno Digital, los servicios que ofrece, la eficiencia interna y la transparencia en las instituciones p\u00fablicas de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana. Este instrumento de medici\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica destaca los esfuerzos realizados y en curso en torno a la implementaci\u00f3n de soluciones TIC, e-Gobierno y mejora de los servicios ciudadanos y gubernamentales. El reconocimiento fue recibido por el se\u00f1or Iv\u00e1n Ram\u00edrez, subdirector de DIGEPRES y Karla Ure\u00f1a, encargada del Departamento de Planificaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo de la entidad. Con este reconocimiento Presupuesto reafirma su compromiso con la eficiencia, la mejora continua y la innovaci\u00f3n. Presupuesto comparti\u00f3 esta categor\u00eda con la Direcci\u00f3n General de Contabilidad Gubernamental, el Ministerio de Hacienda, la Direcci\u00f3n General de Contrataciones P\u00fablicas, y el Cuerpo Especializado de Seguridad Aeroportuaria y de la aviaci\u00f3n Civil. Con este reconocimiento, la Oficina Gubernamental de Tecnolog\u00eda de la Informaci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n (OGTIC) reconoce los avances y aportes de Presupuesto en la transformaci\u00f3n digital y servicios. El \u00edndice de Uso de Tic e Implementaci\u00f3n de Gobierno Electr\u00f3nico en el Gobierno Dominicano (iTicge) se cre\u00f3 con el objetivo de evaluar de manera sistem\u00e1tica los esfuerzos realizados y en proceso, en lo concerniente a la implementaci\u00f3n de soluciones de Tic y de e-Gobierno, enfocados principalmente en los servicios ciudadanos, la eficiencia interna y la transparencia en las instituciones p\u00fablicas de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana. Reconocimientos a la innovaci\u00f3n y participaci\u00f3n social Se recuerda que la Direcci\u00f3n General de Presupuesto (DIGEPRES) de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana ha sido reconocida en esta gesti\u00f3n con el primer lugar en la categor\u00eda \"Mejor Soluci\u00f3n de GovTech para la Transparencia y Rendici\u00f3n de Cuentas\" en los premios Latam Digital 2025. Asimismo, el tercer pa\u00eds con m\u00e1s transparencia en la regi\u00f3n en la Encuesta de Presupuesto Abierto de la International Budget Partnership (IBP).
