Furthermore, it seeks to generate a tangible impact on reducing gender inequality and inequity. External partners include the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, Colombia, Spain, Luxembourg, Mexico, Norway, the European Union, Canada, and the IMF.<\/p>\n<p>The CAPTAC-DR was inaugurated in May 2009 in Guatemala City and is one of the regional centers established by the IMF around the world to provide technical assistance and training. The Center&#039;s main objective is to assist in strengthening the technical and institutional capacities of its member countries.
