The Director General of the Budget, Jos\u00e9 Rijo Presbot, pointed out that the government of President Luis Abinader rigorously and continuously monitors compliance with budget execution to ensure that it is effective, efficient, and transparent for the benefit of the people's economic and social development.<\/p>\n

During an interview on the program \u201cPolitikal<\/a>In a statement broadcast on KQ 94.5 FM, the Budget Director indicated that among the primary budgetary objectives is a commitment to the right to quality public health and education. \u201cThere is an ongoing effort by President Luis Abinader\u2019s administration to increase investment in health to guarantee this right,\u201d said Rijo Presbot.<\/p>\n

Regarding the education system, he argued that it must be transformed, eliminating the way it is currently developed and implemented. \u201cEducation in the Dominican Republic is based on a prison-like model because the students are in classrooms, cells, and are numbered,\u201d the Budget Director stated in his address.<\/p>\n

Rijo Presbot explained in general terms the overview and distribution of the General State Budget for the year 2024, which, according to the statements of the Budget Director, 94% is committed to the education sector, debt interest, fuel subsidies, the energy sector, social programs and recapitalization of the Central Bank, among other items.<\/p>\n

Rijo Presbot en l\u00edneas generales explic\u00f3 el panorama y distribuci\u00f3n del Presupuesto General del Estado para el a\u00f1o 2024, que, seg\u00fan las declaraciones del director de Presupuesto, el 94% est\u00e1 comprometido con el sector educaci\u00f3n, intereses de la deuda, los subsidios a los combustibles, sector energ\u00e9tico, social y recapitalizaci\u00f3n del Banco Central, entre otros rubros.
